Rog, what is progressive about talking about inflation after a decade of ZIRP and printing trillions during Covid?

You make this same argument regularly.

a good bit of this economic shite show is due to self inflicted wounds and poor policy pushed by the Biden administration

I know it frustrates you to see so many people expect a better economy with Trump in charge

A real leader would be able to muster some aid and assistance to the people of E.Pal Ohio, or up inspections for bridges and take charge in getting cargo ships unloaded instead of being backed up off the coast.

But all this stuff is being done by design.

Not really. We likely haven't even experienced the effects of his policies, yet. If we have, it was recent. Inflation is a lagging indicator.

This is exactly why it would have hurt him so bad.

There is no option for a "good economy" post-Covid. Trump printed too much and the Trump, Obama, and GWB admins pushed ZIRP to inflate our economy to prop it up after the 2009 crash. The Covid spending popped the bubble.

Whataboutism? do you know what that word means?

Again, Rog, you make the same argument about Trump printing during Covid causing inflation

The only way to fix it is to cut funding and pare down the scope and scale of the Federal Govt. We keep doing the opposite.

Congress will spend as much money as we let them. Republican or Democrat dont matter. The idea isnt to build better people, its to build a bigger government.

Looking at the obesity epidemic in this country we have a lot of folks that should be skipping meals. This isn’t the ‘gotcha’ you think it is. We are a Nation of fat lazy obese gluttons who eat too much. These same folks drive up medical costs and expenses for the rest of us. frick them.

I was your lone upvote. But, what you don't realize is that DJT knew he would "lose" in 2020 when he was recruited to first run many years earlier. All a part of the Great Awakening. He and his innercircle knew the orchestrated societal collapse that was foreplanned, worldwide, and that 2020-2024 would be a wasted term for either party..which is why a drooling invalid was allowed to be installed.

Which is also why I agree with you on much of the economic takes you present, no one guy/agenda could overcome most of the world's oligarchs playing the long game in lockstep..

So that Devlin-MacGregor could bring you Provasic...er make that the Hidden Hand/Klaus/WEF/EU/UN Agenda 21/2030/2050,etc..could as BO states "fundamentally transform" and Schumer states "change America". etc..

It had to be this way. Sometimes you must walk through the darkness before you see the light.

Sometimes you must sacrifice yourself for the greater good. The enormity of what is coming will shock the world.

This whole charade we're witnessing is about to snowball in speed the next two years.

For laughs and giggles, I had to go google what Carter's approval was on the economy in 1979, and it was at 20% (NYT). In 50 years we have doubled the number of morons in this country.

Between throwing trillions into the economy and the Fed raising rates at the fastest pace in history, this shouldn’t be surprising.

WSJ gaslighting this past week was funny. I’ll post a thread on it later when not on mobile.

Your presumption/assumption is wrong, it’s only real, in your head.

Pimp owned you, and you’re still babbling about a hypothetical as if it’s legit, only because you somehow have fixated on it being real. You just make shite up and expect everyone to argue on your shite take.

This is nothing compared to what we'll face for the next 4-8 years. Biden reversing sanctions on nordstream 2 which helped greenlight the Ukraine invasion, then freezing Russian assets turbo charged the movement to replace the petro dollar as the reserve currency. Not to mention the message we've sent to the world with this administration's open hostility to oil and gas and banning ice vehicles by 2035. Sending hundreds of billions to Ukraine to prolong the conflict has only strengthened Russia and their resolve to do whatever it takes to bring down the US economy. As BRICS picks up steam and dollars no longer held in foreign reserves start to flow back home and we continue printing money to fund wars all over the globe and unchecked domestic spending, we'll long for the '20-'24 inflation.

Edit- forgot to include the effect of adding millions of immigrants who will create further demand for limited resources and push prices higher.
