No worries, guys! Mayor Pete is on the job!!!

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg addressed the massive derailment in a social media post, saying, “We are coordinating across state, Tribal, and local agencies to ensure safety in the region. Please follow state and local guidance for detour information around I-40.”

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs also took to social media to react to the derailment.

“I am deeply concerned about the train derailment along the Arizona-New Mexico border and am monitoring the situation closely,” Hobbs wrote. “My administration is in contact with Secretary Buttigieg and the New Mexican government. As we learn more about the situation on the ground, the State of Arizona stands ready to deploy the resources necessary to keep our communities safe.”

This is what you can expect when you have a diversity hire as Secretary of Transportation.

The only reason this is in the news at all is because there were some propane tank cars involved.

Looks like accidents are down significantly on Mayor Pete's watch

Mayor Pete will look into this as soon as he finishes his personal time.
Full time diva. Part time Transportation Secretary.

Remember, this is the administration that blew up Nordstream. They don't care about the environment.

I watched this video of it yesterday. They interviewed the Arizona state legislators director for smart transportation union division. He has some good insight on this particular one. They have been worried about these type of accidents happening.

There has been 30 de-railments in Arizona since 2018.

No he doesn't. He's a union man lobbying for more union jobs.

The unions are up in arms about the longer trains the railroads are running as it takes fewer engineers and conductors to move the same total number of cars.

There is nothing unsafe about a 12,000+ foot train with distributed power.

Means nothing without context. Besides the fact that is an average of 5 per year. In the entire state. Nothing burger.

Upon arrival, LSFD found approximately 12-20 rail cars of the 144-car train on their side, the release said.

At the time, no injuries were reported. However, upon further investigation, the release said the engineer and conductor did sustain non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital.

Huh? Pete didn't wait several days or weeks before speaking out on this?

Mayor Pete at home

“Honey? Do you remember where I put my KMart vest and boots from the last train?”

Answer: You wore them at the Halloween Party with Joe…remember?”

However, Glynn County Fire Rescue remained on the scene at Ninth Street and Newcastle Street dealing with a diesel leak, a social media post said.

Pete back-doored (no pun intended) his way into a position in this administration when they colluded against Bernie to give the nomination to Joetato. He’s been a terribly unqualified hire and a complete disaster while he’s even working and not of maternity leave.

Our issues with our railroads comes directly from Precision Schedule Railroading, which basically amounts to greedy, unchecked capitalism. Pretty typical situation where you have a bunch of rich conservatives risking other people's safety and well-being for profits. I'm sure that CSX loved the Buttigieg appointment as it made it real easy for them to hide behind a dumb culture war and convince poor conservatives that it's not an evil corporation harming people, it's some random gay man.

They certainly can be but Peter Pan is clearly not hard-working or qualified for his job. I don't know about smart.
