Charlotte Newman filed her lawsuit Monday in district court in Washington, DC
Newman joined the Amazon Web Services division in January 2017 after she spent three years as an economic policy adviser to Sen Cory Booker
The suit accuses Amazon and two current executives, Steve Block and Shannon Kellogg, of discriminating against Newman
It also accuses a former executive, Andres Maz, of sexually harassing and assaulting Newman on multiple occasions
So much for the river pandering and bending over backwards to spread vitriol!

Well, they DO provide a bunch of cloud computing stuff for the defense industry and such. I'm sure there are other activities they're involved in besides being a mega retailer.

In the current business climate is there any reason, from a purely monetary perspective, for a black female to not file a lawsuit upon becoming dissatisfied or fired?

You're absolutely right! I see the need arising for a new (or is this already out there?) type of insurance. Lawsuits by minorities have become a real liability of doing business and their frivolity doesn't seem to have an impact, unless they're filed by Whites or Asians.

AWS is almost 100% of their operating income. If anything the retail business is their least important.

People think of Amazon as amazon.com and, maybe, Prime.
They forget about their massive network of interconnected smart devices (Kindle, Fire tablets, Alexa, their own version of iOS), their television/film production studios, AWS. They're not quite "in your face" as Microsoft, Google or Apple, but as a going concern, Amazon has more physical reach than just about any company ever (Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola and McDonald's included).

Black females may be the employees most likely to sue for something.
Kinda scary.
They have the female card. That really counts for little more than nothing. Female on the intersectional framework comes in below Trans females. They also have the black card. So that is a very powerful card.
