yeah it is ridiculous. from the video I posted above LINK it doesn't even look like he is wearing the rosary any more. the rosary would have dangled the crucifix in the front of the watch by his hand.

He could be... if he checked it after every single person. There have been reports that he checked it after they named each dead serviceman/woman.

Here's the thing...I think it was probably just a nervous tick from back when his brain actually worked. He was likely bored from standing there, and every time they stopped saluting he'd have to do something with his hands, and "check watch" was what came out.
Think that scene from The Terminator when Arnold is trying to find the appropriate answer to respond with to the landlord.

If that were the case, his fist would be closed around the extension with the cross and it would be up by his chest.

I tried just now in thinking to be objective at Biden's sons death and this triggered him. then I thought if it were me and I shared a loss of a close family member. I would never make the memorial about my loved one.
I would cry like a baby hugging these people in private. Having to never mention my grief or loss.
Also a rosary (which I have my mothers that was in her hand when she died and given to me from her coffin) Would not be clutched or looked at-- in respect for others loved ones caskets going by. It is just strange even if others grief triggered me.
So this is Brett covering for Biden.

That is absolutely pathetic. There was no rosary. Witnesses there saw what he was looking at.
