Is your next project to revisit Truman's decision to drop the a- bombs on Japan to end the war?

It’s obvious that Thomas Piketty’s shitty Econ books have turned you into a raging libtard

He shits on Reagan in his books and of course you now come to the board to diss Reagan.

Get your head out of your poop chute and stop reading Thomas Piketty

This didn’t happen. Reagan didn’t need an October surprise. The election was over before October. Carter was toast. His entire administration was an absolute disaster. It wasn’t just the hostage crisis.

former Texas Lieutenant Governor Ben Barnes who verified the claims

You mean the same guy who was the top fundraiser and the vice-chair of John Kerry's presidential campaign? The guy who is one of the primary "bundlers" for the DNC and was a major financial backer of both Obama and Hillary?

Yeah, I'm sure his party bias didn't play into an unprovable half-century old allegation at all.

I don't think it would have changed the outcome of the election

That doesn't mean it didn't happen

The story I always heard was that George Bush 41 hopped on a SR 71 and flew to Paris.

Which is funny because how could a current civilian at the time like he was have access to a SR 71, let alone the authority to fly such a clandestine mission?

Can you link your source? You are one of the most dishonest posters on this board. Certainly one of the dumbest. I’d like to see where you’re getting this.

Then I can respond.

ETA: your failure to cite your source proves you’re lying.

Dude didn't even hear Reagan say it. He said he heard Gov. Connelly say it to someone over there.

Waited 43 years to tell anyone.

And it was in 2023 that he spoke about it. Really breaking news we got here.

Political maneuvers are baked into my opinion of presidents because I'm not a sycophant.

There's only one perfect man to have ever walked this earth, and he damn sure wasn't a politician.

There is a difference between making a mistake and committing treason

Surely you know this

Lol c’mon man. So what did former Texas Lieutenant Governor Ben Barnes do to verify this otherwise fantastical sounding story? Stamp it verified? Simply state the words “consider it verified,” perhaps on the record? This strikes me as a misguided and careless effort here.

Why did he wait until 2023 to say something? A 1990s Congressional investigation found nothing. Barnes was a big Democrat. Dont you pride yourself on higher standards of evidence for your posts?
