Has the White House let us know how much we are saving at our BBQ this year?

Well since it doesn’t look like the White Hoise is going to put out how much we are “saving” this year, I thought I would:
Of course later in the article they try to qualify it and say we are actually paying less due to inflation:
quote:
Americans feeding a group of 10 this holiday weekend will spend an average of $71.22, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation.
It’s a record high: 5% more than last year and 30% higher than in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The American Farm Bureau found the price of two pounds of ground beef will cost an average of $12.77 this year, up 11% from a year ago. Pork is also more expensive, increasing 8% to an average of $15.49.
Of course later in the article they try to qualify it and say we are actually paying less due to inflation:

The American Farm Bureau notes that, on an inflation-adjusted basis, this summer’s BBQ bill is 5% lower than the record set in 2022.

The savings are 100%. BBQ will be banned to stop global warming and make the hurricane go away.

It's high enough that I'm only doing hotdogs and hot links on the smoker for Mrs. Axe and I.
If someone else brings their own food I'll cook it for them certainly. But I can't afford to feed the usual army any more. Thanksgiving and Christmas meals might bankrupt us this year.

American consumers are in a real pickle. We've seen inflation chip away at our buying power and our paychecks can't ketchup. This is what happens when you elect a potato. The Democrats deserve to get grilled for this.

I got an invitation to Chuck Shumer’s BBQ. I’m ignoring it. I ain’t going.
