It isn’t.
They’re trying to make a crazy legal theory that there’s a campaign violation from it because he was doing it to protect his image while running for office.
Which they cannot prove at all. He was already a public figure before running for office. Who could say that he didn’t want people to know to save his family from embarrassment?

Hussein Soerto spent $3M to keep his college records (and proof that he is by birth a foreign national and therefore disqualified from the office of President) sealed in order to protect his image during his campaign.

The DOJ said there was no crime. The FEC said it didn't involve campaign funds so wasn't a violation. Podunk NY DA with no standing brings a bogus felony case and the lib judge let's him get away with it.
