I’m a liberal.

A real liberal.

I believe in the constitution.

I believe in freedom.

First amendment: government should not limit religion, speech, press, etc

Second amendment: if you want a gun, get a gun. If you don’t want a gun, don’t get one,

Abortion: Personally I’m against it. If it is going to exist, I don’t want to pay for it. Rape, incest, life of mother exceptions. No procedure after 16 weeks.

Borders: secure the border.

Police: we are a nation of laws not men. When people threaten or mistreat others, need to be prosecuted.

COVID19: China is to blame. Be careful. Wash your hands. Do your job. Assess your own risk and mitigate accordingly.

Supreme Court: judge cases using reason based on existing law. The judiciary exists to listen to arguments regarding existing laws. The judiciary’s role is not legislative or executive. Judges should not try to create laws or regulations from the bench.

I'm a realistic, small L, libertarian.

Personally, I'd let poor people lose their homes & their kids to be homeless and die unless a church or charity chose to assist them. I'd cut spending to the bone and put it back on the states. We've allowed too many of our citizens to become leeches via wealth redistribution and debt.

But I get that those scenarios are not realistic and will never happen.

Anti-Democrat

I loathe establishment Republicans almost as much as I loathe Democrats.

You just described pretty much everybody but nihilists. Is there anything I could say to convince you that it’s morally good to throw gays off buildings? Would you describe somebody with that belief as having a warped moral compass?

I would say that their compass has been tampered with by the injection of bad code.
