Hell, I'd love it if they canceled the grand ceremony outside and just had a select group witness the short formalities (think LBJ swearing-in-quickness) from a safer spot inside.
No chance for weaponized drones flying over, no chance for a radicalized sniper to take a shot, and no chance for a U-haul/Tesla to blow up near the MAGA crowd/stage.
At the very least, don't have Trump & Vance together in the same place for one-stop-deep-state-shenanigans. One can immediately start signing thousands of executive orders ; the other can watch a ball game.

If I am not mistaken, the inauguration is during the day and the football game is at night. Vance could get sworn in and then get on a plane.
