Lee Harvey Oswald’s shot distance

Oswald was classified as a “Rifle Sharpshooter” at one point in his Marine Corps career.
His three shots were on a slow moving target from 81 meters (88.5 yards) away, and from an elevated position. His first shot missed, his second shot struck JFK in the upper back, and the third struck JFK in the head, killing him.
Granted it was 1963 but Oswald was a military trained rifleman shooting from a shorter distance than Trump’s would be assassin was - and it still took him 3 attempts to get fully on target. Crooks was by all accounts 130-150 yards away and narrowly missed a kill shot, by literal millimeters.
It will be interesting to see what the background of this guy was but I’m betting he at least had some formal rifle training.

I read somewhere that he was on the HS rifle team.

Hitting a moving target in a car even a few MPH is much more difficult.

Anyone acting like this was such an easy shot under the circumstances are not realizing the weight of the situation. Crooks missed by an inch, at most, with people yelling at him, knowing the second he shoots he's going to die, trying to kill a former POTUS.
I hunt all the time and know it's obvoiusly not difficult for most anyone to hit a dinner plate from 130 yards away with a rifle, hell my wife can do it consistenly and she rarely shoots.
And if not for Trump turning his head, he would have hit.

The Italian carcano rifle Oswald used was a hunk of shite cheap gun with a shitty scope. My dad bought one back in the late 80’s and we took it out to shoot. Horrible trigger and bolt was rough as shite. On the way back from shooting he told m no fricking way did Oswald kill JFK with that fricking gun.

There is lots of evidence that JFK was shot from the front btw.

From where Oswald was perched on the 6th floor corner window, the motorcade turned the corner and was coming right at him. The motorcade turned left in front of his window, driving perpendicular to him. He waited until the motorcade passed him up and was driving almost in a straight line away from him.
He was up in the corner window of the second to last story of the building directly behind this kid. The kid is facing the direction JFK was facing.

Science vs. politics

JFK was killed by a team of CIA trained anti-castro cubans. That was a precision operation. Oswald did not kill him, with a shitty carcano.

How was Oswald drinking a Coke in the 2nd floor lunch room within 2 minutes of the shooting, and he was calm and collected not anxious and agitated and running out of the building?

You don’t need any special” training” to become a decent shot and be dangerous with a rifle.

LHO's angle was from behind JFK and at a moving target.
"Sharpshooter" or not, there are different rules that apply to shooting at a stationary target from a stationary position, shooting at a stationary target from a moving platform, shooting at a moving target from a stationary position and shooting at a moving target from a moving platform. There are different points of aim depending on which scenario you are in.
From behind towards a moving target, LHO had to take a "positive lead" with his optics. I'm not an expert by any means but from what I do know, at that distance and with the caliber and elevation, LHO probably needed to be aiming about 2-3 inches in front of JFK's face in the direction of travel to hit his mark. It's possible that it took him until the second shot to adjust and hit.

Like the blown off BACK of his skull. Deep State’s coroner had a different version in the autopsy report.

Oswald was a very good shot. Probably not fair to compare this guy to Oswald.
quote:
On December 21, 1956, Oswald was tested for marksmanship with his rifle on five different exercises—from 200, 300 and 500 yards firing slowly and from 200 and 300 yards firing rapidly. Based on these results a Marine would be rated by a defined scoring system: over 190 points was considered a marksman, over 210 was a sharpshooter, and over 220 was considered an expert. Oswald scored 212 and was rated in the middle as a sharpshooter

I watched a pastor interview a former SS guy on YouTube last night. He actually did a little work for Trump when he was POTUS. He said it was an easy shot, but taking into consideration the crowd yelling and lack of setup time and Trump moving his head, it’s understandable he missed. Thank God he did. He also said though, that he thought he only missed by 1 inch. Not 2. One.

Oswald's shot was 250 feet. Gunnery Sergeant Hartman said it was 250 feet, so I'm going to go with that.
