New St. Louis mayor vows to defund police while the city has the highest murder rate in US

It seems that the citizens of St. Louis basically voted for more crime. Let them have what they asked for.

Say it again. That is one scary place. The only “safe” areas are well outside of downtown. A shame too because STL has so many nice parks, local restaurants and in town neighborhoods.
Criminals run free there. Homeless are everywhere. It’s like San Fran, Chicago and Atlanta had a bad child together.

I will never in my life understand why the black community puts up with this kind of trash governance. It’s not systemic racism holding them back. It’s the black community itself that insists on shooting themselves in the foot over and over and over despite many peoples best effort to get them to stop. Quite frankly, the only thing that is going to save these communities is state legislatures stepping in and assuming control of these local governments and establishing some law and fricking order. If the local populace is incapable of electing officials with an IQ of a glass of water, the rest of the state shouldn’t have to sit back while they kill each other and drain the public treasury

The surrounding counties should offer to hire the remaining officers. That would put the pressure on the city to actually end the police force . Let them kill each other if that what they want .
