The church needs a conservative pope to get it back on track. The Catholic Church needs to move back closer to its orthodox brothers.

Won't happen. This leftist pope appointed leftist cardinals who will elect another leftist pope.

On Palm Sunday, our Parochial Vicar (the 2nd priest in command, if you will, for non-Catholics) said Mass and made a comment that was supportive of Francis position that removing illegals from the US wasn't where we should go...someone across the aisle from me shouted "It's illegal!" When you have parishoners directly challenging priests, during Mass no less, it might be time to rethink the direction of the Church.

I view Pope France as a Matthew 13:24-29 type pope. Now is the time for verse 30.

24 Another parable he proposed to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is likened to a man that sowed good seeds in his field.

25 But while men were asleep, his enemy came and oversowed cockle among the wheat and went his way.

26 And when the blade was sprung up, and had brought forth fruit, then appeared also the cockle.

27 And the servants of the goodman of the house coming said to him: Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it cockle?

28 And he said to them: An enemy hath done this. And the servants said to him: Wilt thou that we go and gather it up?

29 And he said: No, lest perhaps gathering up the cockle, you root up the wheat also together with it.

30 Suffer both to grow until the harvest, and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers: Gather up first the cockle, and bind it into bundles to burn, but the wheat gather ye into my barn.

Prayers for Pope Francis to receive mercy from God the Father and be embraced by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayers for the upcoming conclave of Cardinals that they receive the Holy Spirit as discern that which is the will of God in filling the vacant seat of Peter.

Prayers for the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church That she may endure and welcome home those that have separated themselves from Truth.

Prayers for those that do not know the Love of God and those that reject his Loving Kindness. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit and their hearts be moved to seek God and reconcile their souls.

Because they didn't just go "let's translate everything into the vulgar languages." They changed the actual liturgy to something novel. The mass celebrated today is not the one St. Thomas Aquanis or Catherine of Siena celebrated. You likely don't appreciate what the fallout has been, but it correlates nearly perfectly with obliterated attendance and acceptance of dogmas within the church. Not a surprise given the nature of the changes.

So we won't have to get lectured about building walls from the guy living behind massive walls?

Such a shame.

See ya hypocrite. You were terrible.

I like that he was able to help us all answer the age old question:

"Well, is the Pope Catholic?"

Which apparently the answer was "No"

The same could've been said in October 1978 after JP I's sudden death (and Paul's a couple of months earlier). Few if any had Karol Wojtyla on their papabile list.

Latin should be integrated into mass for its historical relevance.

If you are not trolling and truly want to know why it would be important-

Latin may not be spoken anymore, but it was a language. It conveyed meaning, the same as any other language. I took a class in middle school, and learned more in scientific and medical terminology (it provides the root terms in a lot of this). Many of the European Romance lanquages derive from Latin.
And you learned the meaning of the mass by reciting it every sunday in church.

The relevance is this; you recited the same words spoken for nearly 2000 years, and you could walk into a Catholic church anywhere in the world and follow along, whether you could speak the language of the land or not.

What does that say about JPII (who appointed Francis) and Benedict, who appointed all of the cardinals that voted for Francis in 2013?
