That first one sucked arse, and they doubled down with this one. The main character acted like she wanted to be somewhere else, and I doubt that changes in the sequel….

That's the part I don't understand. Captain Marvel was bad enough to cut Bree Larson's part in Endgame as deus ex machina to save Iron Man.
Why... why make a sequel of a character fans don't like in an era where people are outright fatigued with both comic book movies and woke nonsense?

I'm a huge Marvel fan but when I saw the previews for this, I knew it was gonna be a mess. Some of my nerd friends on FB who usually go on opening night and post superhero movie reviews have admitted this one is a terrible movie, and they're usually pretty liberal on everything so I trust their sincere take.
I anticipate a Ghostbusters-reboot type of backlash when they put all women in the role, saying that the film failed because the country is sexist and racist en masse. But the truth is that NOBODY wanted or needed this movie.
It's going to be another box office failure for Disney/Marvel and I can't understand how their stock holders can continue to sacrifice real, actual money to these woke mobs.

Magically, the Rotten Tomatoes scores have 'flipped' from last night. The Marvels is now scoring as FRESH @ 60% (critics) and 85% for verified audience.

Gotta be honest, I think if they had finished Endgame right, stuck the landing, and not queered everything following, Marvel still had a lot of potential. These people need to get out of their bubble and start serving fans again, not their political clubs.

I saw the previews for this thing and was just stunned silent.
I'm pretty damned flexible about my entertainment because at this point, ya have to be or just not watch movies/TV at all. But dear lord, the previews looked like satire.
Bad. Just really really bad.
Then again, there's a Netflix movie out now that is one of those female badass movies that describes the main character as a Schwarzaneggeresque action hero. She's 5'3" and 110 lbs! LOL

Nothing drives me more crazy in movies than a 100 lbs. girl beating up 250 lbs. guys. I don't care if the guy is all fat, that's not viable. On the other hand, I thought Scarlet Witch was an amazing character even in the movies. Three dimensional, insanely powerful, real life motivations. Why do women all have to be kickbutt?
