iStories reports that the Ukrainian Army has killed 21-year-old Michael Alexander Gloss in battle.

He was allegedly the son of the CIA’s Deputy Director Deputy Director for Digital Innovation Juliane Gallina and served as a volunteer soldier in the Russian Army.

iStories, a newspaper ran by dissident Russians living in Latvia and specializing in Russian affairs, claims that their investigation shows that Gloss was killed in battle in the Donetsk region.

According to the journalists, Gloss is the son of Julian Gallina Gloss, Deputy Director of the CIA for Digital Innovation, appointed to her position in February 2024 (2 months before her son's death). His father is a Navy veteran and cybersecurity specialist who worked in structures serving the Pentagon and NATO.

The newspaper writes that Michael was a far-left activist opposing U.S. foreign policy and participating in feminist and environmental protests.

He moved to Russia in the summer of 2023 and lived in a hut he built in the countryside, raising the flag Soviet Union in front of it.

At the end of August, his visa was about to expire, and on September 5, his data appeared in the EMIAS database, where a recruitment point in Moscow was indicated as his place of stay.

After signing a contract, Gloss ended up in a training center with a group of volunteers from Nepal. He was seen in a video from the center's hall, and later in a TikTok video from a bus carrying foreign mercenaries to the Ryazan region.

There, he created social media pages under the name Hamza Ali and joined groups related to the Soviet Union, Islam, and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

He was transferred to the front in December 2023 and logged into his social media accounts for the last time in March 2024.

iStories claims that his family received the official notification of his death in April.
