They didn't break the law, it was a bit extreme to send them home. Why so many posters are freaking the frick out on me for having that rather tame position is truly bizarre.

Wait until you find out that our government probably killed tens of thousands of people with its COVID-19 policy.

Seriously, I enjoyed the thread because I learned some things. Thanks for posting. Sucks for the girls.

Coming from the guy falsely claiming these sluts were deported?

You will not be sad over this for long.

The next thing to be triggered about will be soon.

You’ll be ok.

How about radical leftist adjacent then?

You people love word salad.

Also, about that list of people you want excluded from border entry rules…

Almost every country I have ever flown into, I was required to put accommodations on the entry form. I expect if you don't, those countries will start asking questions

And you cant board the plane in the US unless you have a return ticket of the country you are traveling to.

As a sidenote for those who travel on business, many immigration folks in countries love to ask "are you here for work or pleasure" NEVER say work. They will then ask for a work permit. When you say business, they will then ask if you were being dishonest when you said work.

Just bureaucrats hassling to show their authority.

Mmm huh...in the interim between their own European Nations being overrun and forcibly/*democratically* subjected to Muslim Theocratic rule and girls like those being gang-raped. Thereafter they will beating the doors down for immigration here, and those that can afford it buying Trump's $1M Citizenship Ticket.

This is like one of YouTube videos with the truck stopping on the train tracks. Geez.

It sounds almost as if they were trying to get denied so a story could be created and widely reported as OMB.

Is the argument here that because they are German teenage girls the application of the law should be relaxed? As opposed to, say, if they were 30 year old Somali men?

Teenage German Girls Detained and Denied Entry
Very odd story. Seems incomplete and dubious. The issue appears to be insufficient funds, with intent to work during their stay in a paygo arrangement. In fairness, that involves a different situation than simply traveling here.

If a European traveler intends to work in the U.S., they cannot use an ESTA or the Visa Waiver Program which is what the girls were attempting. Working while in the U.S. under ESTA is strictly prohibited and can lead to deportation, visa ineligibility, and future bans. That has been the case since the program's inception 40-yrs ago.

Just like the U.S. system, the EU’s short-stay visa system prohibits employment unless a specific work visa or permit is granted. The rules have similarly been in place for decades.

Are there any other laws you would like ignored?

Weird that this is a big deal now though. There must be a good reason. I can’t quite figure out why though?

People that are upset that our border officers are actually looking into oddities like this crack me up. So you don't think that odd 1-way tickets with no luggage are an issue? Having nowhere to stay is not an issue? Traveling with huge sums of undeclared cash not an issue? I suggest travel to other countries and see what happens.

My previous life required constant global travel. I can assure you I was...detained...more than a couple times over tedious bullcrap that was indeed nerve-wracking and even scary, but it was procedural.

Boutte is stalking these girls’ Instagram accounts and has probably already DM’d them. “Hey my most beautiful love. You are so gorgeous. OMB did you wrong. You are welcome to stay with daddy the next time you come to the US. Message me back! xoxo”

What’s the lie? POS is for god to decide but what is the lie?

This story is fundamentally about how we treat people and a growing narrative that the US is hostile to visitors. It’s a bad narrative for a people that like business and money.

What did these teenagers do? Take the government at its word . . . they intended to work while vacationing in the US. Did it warrant being strip searched, handcuffed, and detained for two days in a functional jail cell?

Americans are going to lose jobs when the tourists stop coming. It’s a $190 billion industry. I don’t want Americans to lose their jobs because we too quickly treat people like criminals.
