The scene in Martha's Vineyard right now

You see if tomorrow I tell the press that thousands of migrants will descend upon and overwhelm some small town in Texas, or a bunch of trafficked children will drown in the Rio Grande, then nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan." But when I say that 50 migrants might show up at Martha’s Vineyard, well then everyone loses their minds.

I read the NYT article. It is full of problems presented from unexpectedly receiving many individuals in a small community that have no skills compatible with the local economy, and no place to house them.

These people have zero awareness whatsoever. Completely oblivious to the fact that they are making the damn argument that conservatives, and particularly order states, have been making for years.

I did LOL that the homeless shelter is seasonal and closed after Labor Day
