I work for AFLCMC. I do not work for OPM. Why should I sent OPM/HR my WAR report. All my emails are CUI, OPM has no need to know. Now do you see how stupid it is? HUR DUR

Then don’t send an email. If whomever authored the email doesn’t have the power to fire you, then you can save the 30 seconds. Congrats. I’d make sure there isn’t someone. In my chain of command that could fire me over this, though.

Good Luck!

I work for the federal government and don’t know why everyone is freaking out and feeling traumatized by having to do this. If you can’t quickly submit five bullet points about what you did last week, then maybe you do need to be fired.

Middle management has daily activity to handle and handles the vast amount of meetings with their direct reports.

So they are communicating with them correct? Handing out directives given to them from above?

However, if someone two rungs down from me has directly worked or is the point person on a project and I want info immediately, I will go to that person.

I'm glad you finally said person. However the email in question is for potentially 2 million people.

Good. Then you and Barry can stop bringing up CEOs and industry. Glad that's settled.

I didn’t. It was in response to other inaccurate posts that for some reason think Trump or Elon sent this email.

I never brought it up.

Does the CEO follow that up telling everyone in the company to come up with 5 bullet points for what they did last week and to reply directly to them, or they're going to be fired?

If a CEO tells a sales team to enter their activity into salesforce and they don’t…they will be fired.

You didnt answer the question.

We both know the answer, though, don't we Barry?

I am. I am also a Clarence Thomas loyalist. I think that fits. The anti-Trump narrative you subscribe to doesn't fit with Clarence's values. JMO. Feel free to educate me on why that's a conflict and maybe I'll fight a different "windmill"

Good Lord DB. You jumped into a conversation between Boogie and I that was about CEOs. You don’t get to set the parameters of what other posters are discussing. Clearly, you got lost in the conversation.

Excuse me? What is the problem with a 5 sentence email? If you can’t do that then you likely aren’t being productive.

The answer is perhaps. But that isn’t what happened here, so I’m not sure why you’re bringing it up. You are having difficulty jumping into a conversation that Boogie and I were having. In your haste to post a gotcha, you got confused. It’s no biggie. You know I think you’re smart. You just got a litttle confused here.

If I am a soldier monitoring things on the North and South Korean border, how can I answer this? "Watched to see not sh*t went down"?

And not from a CEO so not sure why you keep bringing that up.

It’s from a generic HR email that will obviously be routed to a direct supervisor.

Oh.

I get CEO emails regularly, often with specific instructions on things to do.

You seriously think CEOs don’t send out company wide emails? Often with specific instructions?

quote:

A CEO occasionally sending out mass emails has nothing to do with that.

Now…to satisfy those looking for an exact comparison, this happens all the time. A CEO puts in place a reporting requirement and has HR notify the company. That is very common.

Those were all in response to other posts. The entire CEO topic is irrelevant to this thread, as I have posted multiple times.

They should be included in the email, but I don’t think advance notice is needed.

Not needed but effective management empowers manager by keeping them informed. If trust is broken at the top then your company won't be around long. You guys are proving my point. This email is not to increase efficieny but to completely destroy trust.

Nope, I even posted the relevant quotes for you.

We were having two different conversations and you got your wires crossed.
