Lots of people here caught up in the "start a war" language.

I think Trump's point stands 100% even if Russia "started the war". There was an opportunity for this not to escalate into the conflict that it did. Trump was all over the issue way back then. It should have been handled....
Why do you guys always need to explain what Trump really meant? Is the man incapable of speaking for himself?
Maybe he just says a lot of dumb shite?

Juxtapose that fact with the idiotic premise that Ukraine's eastern borderlands are somehow worth incineration of the entire Northern Hemisphere, obviously inclusive of all of Ukraine. Any nonemotional, rational person would say the latter outcome, or any risk of it is is cretinous, to be kind.
Replace "Ukraine's eastern borderlands" with LITERALLY any spot on earth (and remove "obviously inclusive of all of Ukraine", and it's the same argument.

Then Russia can literally invade anywhere and any response should be thwarted due to the threat of the " incineration of the entire Northern Hemisphere"
Nobody has the ability to defend itself from Russian aggression, with that logic.

You've put on quite the contortionist act itt, btw, with your not actively avoiding war=starting a war clown shite. It was an entertaining read.

Did you listen to his comments, or just read the OP?

Since Kyiv is on planet earth, it's defense could lead to a response by Russia causing the " incineration of the entire Northern Hemisphere," same as anywhere else on Earth.

Let's review:
If we play the "we can't start WW3" card.
WE can't start WWIII over slavic borderlands.
Change the equation to Taiwan, and it's more of a question.
Change it to a NATO country, and it's an entirely different equation.
Russian (sic) interests in Ukraine are immensely greater than ours, as they've made clear over the past century or so. Over the past two decades, they've made clear Ukraine was a bright red line.

Wrong, the US started that war and Ukraine should be a lesson to the world, don't let the US cia control your foreign policy.

Russia could invade Texas and if the "we can't start WW3" card is played, then we have to suck that dick just like Ukraine did.

You have tied yourself in knots via semantics. Let me clear it up for you. It's not that "we can't start WW3". It's that "It's not in our interest to start WW3 as it relates to Ukarine." or if it helps you "We aren't willing to start WW3 as it relates to Ukraine."
Obviously, we would be willing to go to war for more important objectives such as defending our own sovereignty. I don't know why this confused you, but hopefully this clears it up.
That's the reality on the ground and the reality of what Zelensky is dealing with at the moment. He's been told in as many ways possible that the US isn't willing to fund this anymore. And, Trump is pointing out that it was a very bad and costly decision to have decided to go to war in the first place.

This is ridiculous. Ukraine isn't on the verge of defeating Russia. It's a bottomless pit of money with no strategic objective even being stated or set. Ukraine isn't capable of even regaining what it lost if we continue to fund.

Lose the emotion dude.
You can complain all you want about it, but who in the world outside of Ukraine is willing to put boots on the ground for this endeavor? That's the reality. If Europe were willing to go to war in Ukraine, then you'd see what Russia is willing to do. It could back down. It could nuke Europe. Or, it could decide to engage Europe via conventional warfare to start.
We won't know because Europe isn't willing to find out for Ukraine. The United States is stating very openly that it isn't willing to do it for Ukraine What you wish existed doesn't.
That doesn't mean that Europe would sit back and allow Russia to invade other parts of Europe without response. That's an invention on your part.

No, Zelensky asked Biden to stop instigating Russia. Biden didn't and this was the result. Elections have consequences.
Zeelenskee had a decision to make. Give Trump all the goodies on the Biden Crime Syndicate and the US money laundering rackets or side with Victoria Nuland and her Bureaucratic State thugs.....Zeelenskee made a terrible choice and consequently his nation was invaded because the Russians saw the illegitimate Jotato regime as extremely inept, and they busted a geopolitical chess move and won.
