Set hard limits per child. No scale with income. If either spouse move in with someone else, formulate EIC.

What do they have to lose right now? 90 percent of women are liberals regardless of demographic

That’s a state issue, IMO.

Sorry your old lady left you, you pay child support and now she is fricking a new guy.

Try to make it a character building moment.

So, a father that’s a billionaire should pay the exact same as someone on welfare?

Did you actually think this through???

Not exactly, but he should be paying a limit to support the children. Quality of life for the wife should be factored into alimony not child support.

There's no reason an ex spouse should be getting 100k a month in child support.

Has nothing to do with me but you can play wanna be keyboard alpha all you want. Im talking about incentivizing single parent homes and how limiting it would probably help families and gender relations in this country.

We aren't talking about your liberal daddy issues, the point here is to quit incentivizing marriages to break up.

Fight for 50-50 custody and be a dad as many days a month as you can - like I did - and the court will take that into account.

I had my kids who were 8, 12 and 14 at least 14 days a month for six years. It cut my child support significantly. I understand it’s not always possible to get this but most men don’t try. They just agree to 2 weekends a month with their kids while they chase pussy and bitch about child support.

are you in 8th grade? if so, you get a pass. if not, go play fortnite or minecraft.

Man you got it bad huh?

In no state I'm aware of is quality of life of the spouse factored in to child support. Child support is the obligation the non custodial or shared custodial parent owes to the child. Unique to the childs needs.

No. Im very unaffected by this in general. I suppose I'm having a slight red pill type moment. My understanding is that child support scales with the higher earners income to maintain quality of life when at each parents house?

I don't see how it's so unpopular to think no one needs 5 to 10k much less 100k a month for a kid. Look at the most recent news about Elon Musks payments. It's crazy. Look at divorce rates amongst wealthier people with large disparities in income. They are literally better off financially divorcing their partner if their partner doesn't just give them that much od their income to begin with.

State issue but republicans could probably get a lot of the black male vote if they promised to reform child support

It’s wild how confident some people get while missing the basics. Minimum wage is also a state-level issue — yet we have a federally mandated floor to prevent states from being absurdly low. Same thing could be done with child support: set a federal cap or baseline structure to make sure no state is being completely out of pocket.

This isn’t even a stretch — it’s just critical thinking. You don’t have to regulate every detail to establish reasonable boundaries. But hey, keep throwing Fortnite jokes if that’s where your depth runs out.

How does two gay people getting married impact other people? Not my problem or business.
