1. Decoherence: The chip may have either gone into decoherence too quickly, or not come out cleanly.
2. Power leakage: The chips may have failed too quickly
3. Manufacturing faults: The chip may have been hard to reliably manufacture
Most likely?
The chip isn't cancelled, it's a live and well.
This "ethical hacker" is a scam artist.
No one in industry seriously thinks Google shut down Willow development.
The "parallel dimension" has to do with the natural Hamiltonian states where the qubits are able to evaluate two states at the same time, which allows computing 2 mathematical dimensions at the same time.

I watched the entire video. It sounds like they built a 'Skynet' that had it's own set of vulnerabilities.

It simply finds the lowest energy state bases on a set of many inputs.
While the entanglement seems magical, it is a different kind of magical than "dimensions" as you talk about them.
The dimensions mentioned in Quantum are mathematical dimensions being evaluated by the entangled system.

Reality is probably scarier. Most likely. half the money for development ended up in people's pockets and the program died of waist, fraud and abuse.
