As the title says, I am looking for one...I have called several places around town and none of them have returned my calls. I would at least like to speak with someone who says I have a case or not, before I blow it off..Feel free to @gmail me with any helpful information..
I figured this would have more legit responses here over any other sub..
TIA

Good luck bro! People say, “speak out against the left.” Yeah, that’s great if you are retired and have frick you money but leftists have taken over most Human Resources and administrative positions. Liberals are also going after the law sector of government and pretty much run the Barr association.
I’m hoping Boosie will back you. He just won a big fat case recently and will probably work pro-Bono.

So this is what I know since I’m in a wrongful termination suit. It’s all done on commission and there is like a 1% chance they will accept your case.
I called only one firm and had to walk the paralegal through it. Bit by bit. Then they decided to take the case. They told me they turn down 99.9% of the calls they get.
I just had the right case.

Here is what you have to remember. Before any attorney takes your case, they have to believe there is money to be made by taking your case. What’s the cost of wrongfully terminating you? Million bucks? 10 million? 10 thousands bucks? 20 thousand? Not making light of you being fired, because it sucks especially this time of year, but unless there is a significant payout, you’re gonna have a hard time finding someone to take your case.

I'd like to get this far..
Fired "per handbook, etc...There is no handbook, and what I did isn't illegal." In my mind its a simple case, that would easily be settled out of court

File with the EEOC. It may help. Don’t just give up. Worth a shot with them.

If you are white, add a “La” to your name when you call. So if your name is Michael, tell them it’s LaMichael, Gregory will be LaGregory and so on.
You’ll have a greater chance of them taking your case. Don’t ask why, just trust me.

Well when they fire you because you told them if they do something illegal you to jail, you tell them you won’t do it, they fire you and then they go to jail...
It makes things a whole lot easier.

Have you tried FindLaw? It may be tough to get a real referral on here.

Most "wrongful termination lawyers" represent employers. Your first question should be, "does your firm represent mostly employers, or employees".
Then I'd ask who some primarily employee lawyers are. Be respectful and polite to the secretary/paralegal. They know more than you think... or can find out.

Call Paul Bell in Baton Rouge or Kevin Vogeltanz in Mandeville. Only two I know who hold themselves out to be labor-side employment lawyers

Jill Craft in BR was a star in this field a few years ago. Assume she is still active.

If you are in Louisiana, you’re in a right to work state. You can be fired for any reason or no reason at all unless you have a contract of employment for a specific length of time or you were fired for a reason protected by federal law. Just because the reason you were given is not in the company handbook as a fireable offense doesn’t mean you have a case.
