Why is a professional men's team playing the USWNT? I'm assuming this was wrexham's C or D squad, but still...wtf?

I don't recognize any of the names on the USWNT that played in it either.

Highlights from the match

Wrexham was barely trying. Not a single offensive highlight for the Women's team, which is not surprising.

Well men should beat women in sports easily. Several years ago a U16 boys club team beat the USWNT easily.

I've successfully chased away every woman who used to play in my pick up league. How did I do it? I treated them like they were men.

Bizarre that this match even takes place - don't see the upside for anyone.

I think this was a part of a charity tournament. It wasn't practice or a statement game, it was just good fun with brand names.

Well this feels misleading

Kristine Lilly is on the team and is over 50 years old. Definitely not the current squad.

Not exactly, it's inaugural "The Soccer Tournament" which has a bunch of teams and people like Dempsey, Beasley, Conrad, etc involved. West Ham, Dortmund, Wolves, and a few other teams sent former players and prospects too. It's a 1 million cash prize to the winner.

I mean only some world cup winners, and if it werent for the keeper, it would have been much much worse.

I was wondering why the men didn’t let the women keep it a little closer so the women could talk about how good they are on social media. When money is involved all that other stuff goes out the window.
