Issues with group text that contains iphone and android users...UPDATE

Android guy not getting all the text messages...he also sn't getting some pics being sent.
What are the likely causes for this?
He is using Google Messages.
Found out more info...this person was using Microsoft Messaging app on his Android to group text with iphone users. He switched to Google Messages a week ago...so these old text threads probably think that his phone number is tied to Microsoft Messaging...is the solution for him to start the new group text thread from Google Messages?

I’m frankly horrified chicken would sully himself with anyone without a blue text blurb.

Pretty sure this is the answer. We converted a dirty Android user a year and a half ago and had to create new versions of existing chats.
Also, make sure the iOS users have updated iOS to allow them to use RCS. There are a stupid amount of people that only seem to upgrade iOS when they get a new phone.
