Teamviewer alternative for Debian

Are there any good teamviewer alternatives for Debian? I have used chrome remote desktop but I dont like having to logout and have separate login session for it to work. I just want something that can run under the logged in user on the Debian machine (headless).
Teamviewer works perfect other than the once a year song and dance where they claim it isn't being used for personal use.

It’s sounds like you have a good solution going for you. That’s another rabbit hole with 100x VNC clients out there along with multiple server options. People love X2go but I haven’t tried it.
I’ve also seen some gaming/multimedia focused packages out there but don’t know anything about them.

Apache Guacolmole Should handle pretty much any remote access you can need, all via HTML5.
Setup/configuration it pretty simple, very low latency.

SSH or VNC not an option?

SSH: no
GUI is a requirement with unattended access. VNC might be OK.
I'm testing out AnyDesk right now and it seems pretty solid. Downside to AnyDesk is no option to do unattended access via browser. I'd like to have that option, too.

Not 100% sure what feature sets you are looking for, but I have been pretty happy with ninja remote monitoring.

The 2 biggest requirements are unattended GUI access and unattended GUI access via a browser.
The debian box is just a remote workstation so it needs to operate like a standard workstation.

I use AnyDesk to access my media server. Works well from my laptop or android phone. I did have to get them to whitelist my IP a few months ago as they flagged it as commercial use account.

Well that is annoying. That is a yearly ordeal with Teamviewer. Do you think that was a onetime issue or will it be recurring?

I've been using AnyDesk ever since TeamViewer starting flagging everyone as commercial a couple years ago. This was the first time I had an issue with AnyDesk since the switch. I'm hoping that it was a one time request. If I recall, it was very painless. Just filled out a form on their site and a couple days later my account was back to normal.
