My wife would like to do a pilgrimage or tour with home in the next year or two.

Anyone happen to do this? How was it?

Hi! I’m known in most social circles as The Catholic Traveler, but you can just call me Mountain.

And I’m out.

I've never been on any of his pilgrimages but I follow him on Instagram and his trips look legit. I follow another Catholic influencer (who I have a lot of respect for) who is friends with him and she is going on his pilgrimage to the Holy Land soon. If you go, please report back because I'm curious and I might be interested in going on one of his trips in the future.

I know a guy who's family has used him for trips multiple times in Italy and have nothing but great things to say about him. Really knows the history of Catholicism and will show you stuff many people miss. Has good hookups like sometimes being allowed to take a private group and open the Sistine Chapel for the day.

If you're a catholic and looking for a heavy church based/pilgrimage tour, I'd say he's well worth a shot.

Mountain is his literal first name, not exactly something he got to pick out, can thank his parents for that one. Apparently he does have a good humor about it.

Get a local official guide in Jerusalem. I can hook you up with two, both Americans that underwent Aliyah. Israeli tour guides are officially licensed, and will stun you with religious and historical knowledge. It's over a YEAR of daily, hours long classes, to qualify.

If you're just going to Rome (is that even a pilgrimage?), I think it would be a waste of money. Rome isn't very complicated.

Thanks. I think his tours look great, but just wanted to confirm with someone who had actual knowledge. We’ve never done an organized tour, but his look like they might be worth trying.

My wife is especially interested in the Portugal/Spain/France pilgrimage. Unfortunately we can’t make it this year, but maybe in the future if he does it again.
