Best Vacation Spots with Dogs

My wife (no pics) and I are looking to go spend a week out of town somewhere within reasonable driving distance (SELA). We’d like to bring our two Australian shepherds with us and go do hikes and what not. Any recommendations for this kind of trip?

not for a week obviously but for weekend getaways with the dogs we book a cabin on the bogue chitto near McComb. 1 hr drive and the dogs stay in the river all weekend
