Any input on a property yall have stayed before, or own, that I can/ahould take into considerstion would be appreciated.

Run of the mill AirBnB cabins is where I am right now.

We stayed a week in Hochatown last year for the 4th of July with my family. 15 people total.

We got a cabin with a pond in the back yard and had a great time. Browsing VRBO, you can't really go wrong. Most of the cabins are new as that area is in the process of being built up as a lake resort town for DFW people.

Their distillery and winery are run by the same family. We spent a day there just tasting and chatting with the owners.

Any newer cabin is going to have quite a few amenities. The biggest consideration about your cabin is realize that eating out on weekends is a pain in the arse. The traffic is crazy and places are packed. So make sure the cabin has what you need to cook and grill food for everyone.

Go kayaking on the river (not the lake). There are several kayak rental places on Hey 70 around Broken Bow. There's a chute that is fairly challenging.

If you want to try to catch some trout, I've caught quite a few in the fishing area of the river on just an ultralight spinning rod and a 1/16 oz rooster tail.

Just returned, group of 12. Stayed at Pine Lake Resort. Barely fished the catch/release ponds (tiny fish) and only swam a few times as we stayed in the park most of the time. A house anywhere near main highway would be good.

More tips:
Drive through state park to explore different swimming holes, not found on any maps (that I could find). Hiking moderate/easy trails was fun, recommend Friends Trail. Also recommend renting a pontoon boat and spending a few hours on Beavers Bend Lake. Nice to beach it and just swim, and we pinned several off the path "beaches" we could drive to and hang out on.

Everyone needs water shoes if going in any body of water.

Parking pass is for the entire park, not just a noted/numbered section.

Grateful Head Pizza was great. Hochatown Saloon was good and if they have live music a fun spot.

Stay in Hochatown (north of Broken Now), not Broken Bow

Look up Blue Beaver Luxury Cabins

We stayed in one over New Years and it was a really nice set up.

Stayed here this past October for a long weekend when my daughter's daycare was on fall break break and loved it.

If you can find an Airbnb off off N Lukfata Trail Road then that is the spot to be. There is a very nice strip mall type place right off the main drag and it has a brewery, winery, distillery, and lots of outdoor things for the kids to do.

We lucked into having our place in the area right behind there and so it was a quick drive to all the spots right there.

Our cabin was right in that area too.

That little hole-in-the-wall chinese restaurant in that shopping center was awesome
