What's the minimum layover time you give yourself when flying domestically?

An hour? 2?

30 minutes if through a good efficient airport (ATL).
45 minutes to an hour if not.

Depends on the airport. Try not to do less than 45 mins.

Whatever the search engine gives me when I search for my flight and the departure and arrival time work.

60 min. That's enough time for a 30 min departure delay, running to restroom, changing terminals, or getting a quick bite to eat.
Editing to add in there are so many factors that play into this. Are you in 1st class in the front seat of the plane? Are you in economy in the 2nd to last row? Makes a huge difference of getting off the plane immediately at the gate or having to wait 15 minutes for grandma and the kids to get their luggage and mickey dolls out of the overheads

I've had to make 30 minute connections in Atlanta & Charlotte numerous times based on their flight schedules.
Don't prefer to cut it that close since I've missed a few as a result, but don't always have a better choice.
45 minutes is my preference.

3 hours if you fly delta

1.5-2h since having kids, plus I like to get a drink or two during layover... I don’t fly for business so we’re typically not in a hurry, go to lounge or restaurant for an hour and get some drinks is very relaxing rather than hustling to the gate

If it's DFW, ~1 hr
No less <40 minutes otherwise

An hour was mine when I traveled more for work. I absolutely hate being rushed though. An hour was almost always more than enough time to hit the bathroom, grab a snack or drink, and make the connection. I usually looked for around 90 minutes, just to be safe. I never minded sitting around at the gate though.

I have 69 min layover in JFK in a couple weeks @ like 9pm.
We are traveling with a toddler in a carseat.
Am I screwed? I've never had a layover at JFK before.

Min? 45 minutes if I know the terminal and flight layout.

Keep an eye if it's a change in terminals from T2 to T4 or vice versa. If you're lucky, both flights will be in T2 (not so nice terminal) or T4 (much nicer). T4 is about a straightaway but a mile long so there's buses by I think it's B20 and all the way at the end by B55. Those will enable you to get all the way down to the gate without having to drag the kid.
Do you know what aircraft type you're scheduled on? The CRJ900 is usually B45-B55 (Terminal 4) or C60/C61 (Terminal 2), the 717s are almost always in T2, the MD80s/MD90s are usually in T2, the 739s, 763s, 757s are usually in T2. Granted gates can always change

For those of you saying ATL with 40 minutes is good, I would've blown my connection in ATL and gotten stuck there tonight had I booked that 40 min connection IAH-ATL-BUF. Sitting here in Minneapolis with my 1 hr 20 min connection still intact, plenty of time to get chicfila and use the restroom without having to change terminals

I'll have to check what type of aircraft, but we are coming from Atlanta and leaving for Iceland. If international a separate terminal?

JFK-KEF is on a 757 which almost always leaves out of T4. One of the good pieces of news I have is that your JFK-KEF flight uses the ATL-JFK flight as the inbound plane about 75% of the time. I remember hearing that JFK-KEF is domestic 1st class, meaning they won't use the international 757 configurations on the route. In my opinion, it sounds like Delta purposely scheduled a 69 minute layover to turn that same plane around for an international flight. Unless there's any irregular operations on your day of travel, you have a good chance of this not being a giant pain in the arse
