Looking to get a nice hotel for a weekend getaway with a concert at the Ryman in May.

Anything walkable to the Ryman STARTS at $500/night.

$1000 just for a two-night hotel stay? Who the hell is paying these prices?

It's like you read about inflation, the death of the economy, and how everyone is struggling, but there's certainly enough coin being thrown around to jack up prices for a bed and bathroom.

I have an upcoming conference there in May. My employer pays all my travel expenses, no problem. But I am also astounded at at this hotel pricing thing. I guess its because a lot of people like to stay downtown and walk to bars "owned" by celebrities.

That's not my jam so I stay in the burbs and save a lot of coin, except this event requires some moving and shaking and such, so I'm over by Titan Field. Should be fun...

It's almost like the hotels have access to the schedule of events and set prices accordingly. Mon dieu!

I flew to Nashville monthly for about 3 years. I stayed at the Hilton Downtown mostly, usually always $500 a night. I would stay at the Hilton Green Hills for $150 a night, and a 10-15 minute uber occasionally.

Second that. Very good hotel chain and is reasonably priced in large cities.

Last time I was there, I stayed out in Brentwood and just drove into town. Saved hundreds and didn't have to worry about my car getting broken into at night.

Since the free covid money, travel expenses are up everywhere (especially Hotels).

I believe thatnis getting ready to come to a halt. Airlines are already signaling weak demand for the summer.

I had a 3 day pass to see Panic week after next at Ascend and besides a bunch of other obligations, the price of hotels was my main dissuasion. It’s ridiculous.

Those two things are mutually exclusive. The stadium is right across the river from downtown.

Stay outside of downtown for better pricing. It’s easy to drive downtown.

I booked 3 flights to Las Vegas last week for $640 each. I waited a couple of months after I started looking to actually buy. The price never went below $640 but did go higher several times. Today that $640 ticket was at $480. You may be right.

I travel there monthly for work and never stay downtown because of the prices. On top of the expensive hotel costs, if you are parking a car there, that’s another $50-60 per night. There’s a few hotels around Vanderbilt and a bunch around the airport that are decently priced and without the crazy parking prices. Both locations are a 10-15 minute commute away, but it’s worth it for the money saved

Try ABnB. Nashville is one of those weird cities where hotel rates were higher than BnB.

That was 3 years ago I'm guessing everything has leveled out.

Hotels downtown in Nashville were pricey well before Covid.
