Two Popular Foods Are 'Banned' Inside Of The Olympic Village. They are...

Two popular foods have been "banned" from the kitchens inside of the Olympic Village in Paris. While the foods are popular, they're banned for legitimate reasons: french fries and avocados...
quote:

While it sounds crazy that french fries are banned at the Olympic Village in France, it's apparently a safety hazard. The fries need to cook in screaming hot oil and they don't want to be starting any fires.

Avocados, meanwhile, are not native to France, and they consume a lot of water. So, it wasn't seen as worthwhile - or necessary - to bring them into the Olympic Village.

“French fries are too risky because of fire-hazard concerns over deep-fat fryers,” Charles Guilloy, one of the Olympic Village’s top chefs in charge, told The New York Times. “No to foie gras because animal well-being is on everyone’s mind, and no to avocados because they are imported from a great distance and consume a lot of water.”

Avocados use too much water? Somehow this reeks of climate change and woke agendas.

Citrus fruits take about the same amount; are they banned? No

You think they’re banning fried chicken?

Yeah when I buy avocados at the store, I always have to worry about them consuming all of the water in my house.

Avocados consume a lot of water...while on the tree growing...not while they are sitting on a shelf waiting to be consumed.

I think they deemed that 60% of all food in the athlete's village had to be vegan. World class athletes cannot have protein. Also, many reports that the meats are being served raw or very undercooked.

Transport humans from all over the world, build massive buildings and structures that will be mostly abandoned in 5 years. But avocados are just a bridge too far.
