Tire Help - Tundra
Posted by bobdylan on 8/16/24 at 1:53 pm
I think I’m needing new tires soon.
Thanks to the OB, I got Falken wild peaks last time which have checked all the boxes and were much more affordable than BFG all terrain I had before.
Since last time I bought them, they’re way more expensive however. So before biting the bullet, curious if ...

re: Lightweight Tripod Stands

It’s been a few years since I went down this rabbit hole but I think the millennium is hard to be (weight). another viable option would be making one if you have the means (I know that several people go that route that hunt the marsh). I’m not sure if they can build one that comes in under 36 lbs ...

re: Boat trailer light help

Thanks everyone.
This may be a very dumb question, but I don’t think any of the wires are ground to the trailer, the ground wires go to the pigtail that plugs to the truck - is that not possible? I’m not out looking at it but almost positive that’s how it is and if so, was working that way for y...
Boat trailer light help
Posted by bobdylan on 6/13/24 at 8:53 pm
I loathe boat trailers. I seem to have bad luck with bearings, tires and lights.
Doesn’t help that I’m not handy.
A few years ago I replaced the trailer lights and wiring. I soldered the connections, ran the wires tucked away and in one of those plastic protectors. I added silicone around th...
re: Tax Filing Extension
If you file for an extension, would any money owed not be due until the new extension deadline? Do I need a new CPA?
Money owed is due Monday, extension is time to file, not time to pay.
Ask him if he can work up an estimate to see if you should send a payment. If you just gav...

re: How to get started hunting squirrels?
would like to start hunting squirrels again in the fall.
I’d get a thermacell, off and look into public land near you - there’s a bit within an hour’s drive.
There is a spring squirrel season, I believe in May as well....

Disagree. This was from this morning. .22 is way more fun and makes cleaning then eating, a lot nicer.

I went stomp some briars yesterday (as well as doing some post season scouting) and flushed four to my surprise (I think one was the same one, so 3).

re: The state of the outdoors in Louisiana, how will it be for our kids/grandkids? Long read

That is frustrating. I hunt public land. Saturday, I ran into another hunter on the water and we talked several minutes. He has a lot more experience on this place than me and he shared a lot of information about what he was seeing, general areas, and pictures he had, etc. He was way more gener...
