Arkansas State Police don’t mess around. They are regularly in the news for their pit maneuvers and drastic measures to stop cars. You don’t want to mess with these dudes haha

Shoot: just saw this was LRPD

Only douches get tats so it's fitting!

I'm surprised LRPD actually did something to end a chase. They look completely useless in most videos. Not surprised by all the assholes crying about police chases. They're the reason why our country is falling off the cliff.

That shite could happen without the spike strip at 100. You blow

Thanks for the professional opinion officer. My problem isn’t with the stop sticks it’s the pursuit in general. Seems like there’s a smarter way to apprehend this guy without the high speed pursuit. When I’m hunting I don’t just spray and pray at first sight of target species I try to pick my shot when I have the highest probability of dispatching the animal. If he had a hostage or shot up a school then I get it go ahead and chase the son of a bitch. But endangering the lives of innocent people they are sworn to protect to try and recover a 91 astrovan is ignorant.

I think cops should just chase down and kill everyone that flees.

Hey man, we just get scared and make a bad decision. Once you've hinted at running, you're committed to running. No need to kill us for our rash bad decisions.

They usually won't use spike strips at those speeds. I've watched a bunch of chases where spikes were used, and never once saw or heard of a cop getting hit.

Didn’t a cop die a few years ago in Hammond when he got it after doing this?

This is why we aren’t allowed to pursue or frick with fleeing suspects. That was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen

Lots of unnecessary risk to recover a stolen car.

That’s not why they were trying to stop him

it said like and subscribe at the end and i feel like a cop would get fired for posting stuff on youtube

It’s not the cops. It’s people making public records requests for the video and then posting the videos.

And then apparently making bank for doing so.

Im not disputing that at all, but at what point does civilized society realize that announcing "Police will no longer be able to chase you if you don't stop" would lead to absolute chaos?

Got warrants, just don't stop. Don't want a ticket for speeding, just don't stop.

So the high speed part of the chase lasted less than 2 minutes and the perp was in custody within 5 minutes after the chase started.

Nobody was hurt.

Seems like good work to me.

Blaming police for the chase is a study in blame displacement. It takes someone fleeing to create the chase.

What's your solution? If they steal it when no one sees them stealing it, just let them get away with it?

Property crimes need to be taken more seriously in this country. That car is worth more than the piece of shite who stole it.
