I don’t think it’s worth overthinking, but if people dress like children, it’s because they never grew up.

I’m okay with it because men’s formal dress is the dumbest thing in the fricking world.

“Oh, we are having this important occasion during the Summer, so please wear these four layers of clothes and completely useless noose”

Lol he isn’t even describing a suit for certain. He just says coat and tie. That could just be a blazer or sports coats

So I guess his 3 pieces are a coat, a tie, and either the shirt or pants???

It's an adolescent, ghetto sheik look and men who dress this way don't understand how important a pair of shoes really are in completing a fashion statement.

We are supposed to listen to fashion pontification from someone who thinks sheik means chic?

Not dumb enough to spend the time to start a thread on the OT about it however. It's seems to have really gotten under your skin this morning

I don’t see why not . I’ve seen a lot worse on here. Much worse.

And I think anyone wearing tennis shoes with a suit is a fricking moron.

Say what you will but the generation complaining about pay and jobs are the ones wearing tennis shoes with business casual and a variety of other things. Maybe this is the way of the future, but as long as the people in charge don’t like it, you kind of have to deal with it.

Amazing people still care about what other people wear.

Showing up to a nice formal event that other people spent a lot of time and money on dressed like a slob is just disrespectful and shows bad taste. Nice clothes/shoes shows that you care and put in the effort. Not to mention it speaks volumes about your character--some people just don't give af.

This has been common for over a decade now. Even Gen Xers are doing it for everything dressy except funerals and weddings. Fine by me.

Almost like it's the same throughout all of human history.

I saw a guy at a burger joint with his dick hanging out. A 3 piece suit with tennis shoes doesn't even hit the radar for inappropriate attire compared to that.

That’s thread worthy bro. Please start one or link original.
