If I don’t have a bidet handy I’ll at least dampen the paper with a little dip in the water, clean my arse and be done.
A dip in the toilet water or in the sink? I just spit on the toilet paper. Alabama wet wipe.

Get a nice one that warms the water

How longs it take for this to happen

We've been using them for probably 10 years and never had an issue.
*knock on wood

I installed a bidet toilet seat to an existing toilet, plug it in and it heats the water for you. As well as having a hair dryer and heated seat. Get mad when I have to wipe my butt anymore.

It’s always worth it.
I will continue to say this.
If you got mud on your arm, you you use a dry paper towel to get it off or would you use water?
If you would do that for any other part of your body, why wouldn’t you do that for taking a crap?

Bio Bidet BB-1000 from ManyBidets.com
It has a heated seat and built-in water heater.

The reactions you get from some people when they find out you have a bidet really amazes me

No separate electricity, etc?

I don't have an outlet in my toilet area… Which bidet do you guys recommend? Is there a gold standard for non-plugged in bidets?
Posted on 3/17/24 at 11:11 am to GeauxGoose
What does one do? Wipe with toilet paper and then wash?

Call an electrician and get an outlet installed. Go online and buy a TOTO toilet/bidet. It’s worth every penny.

I may one day get the Toto toilet when I finally do a master bathroom remodel… But for now, I just want a toilet seat bidet that is not plugged into an outlet

When I set up camp, first thing I usually do is set up a bidet, as a necessity.
Then I worry about the food, fire and tent.

Oh my bad. I didn't realize you had anecdotal evidence contrary to what any plumber will tell you. Let's follow your lead.

Every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I had the same worries about “cold water” before I first installed mine.
As others have stated, it’s not an issue at all. It’s quite refreshing

Not a big deal, prefer the warm water. But would take a cold water bidet over none at all for sure.
I just installed outlets by our toilets to covert to warm water ones
