I think it is a SBP313 which is kinda sorta a white dial reissue of the 6105 8000 which originally came out between the 62MAS and the Willard and for many years was overlooked by collectors in favor of its older and younger brothers.

I'm curious how that works on the inside, how does it speed itself up or slow itself down to maintain the time? What kind of mechanism?

The movement can move all the hands independently. It will move the hands to the exact time then start ticking the seconds again upon completion of receiving the time signal.

Which model is that? Like the white. I’ve been looking for another Seiko.
“slim Willard” I think

The other two posters are correct. It’s a SPB313 “Slim Willard” on an Uncle Z199 bracelet.

It checks a lot of boxes for me: diver, thin enough to fit under most shirt sleeves, white dial, wears like a 40mm.

However, Seiko’s 6R35 movement does not check the accuracy box in 2 out of 3 that I have. (The other inaccurate one is a SPB153 “Green Willard”). I’m going to send them to get serviced and regulated.

I regulated mine with a 10x loop and a pocket knife. But I ruined the 4r36 and am now on a nh36. I can’t help myself. I de-magnetized mine too after it got wonky making like +30min/12 hrs and it straightened out and has been keeping good time.

I bought a cheap nh36 to practice on and promptly screwed it up. I’ll leave it to the pros. Plus, rumor has it the factory lubrication is partly the issue on 6R35’s, so I want to get them fully serviced. The two bad ones are losing 25-35 secs/day.

My SPB187 is accurate, but only when I change its position every couple days. It offsets as fast dial up and slow crown down, and slightly slow on the wrist.

I agree esp on a new one. I wanted to brag a little is all.

I’ve read the 6r’s are more prone accuracy issues but didn’t go any further. Hope you get them working properly.

Get a Seagull ST36 (ETA 6497 clone) to start with, everything is bigger and easier to work with.

Make sure your work surface is high enough, you generally want it somewhere between your nipples and bottom of your neck.

Get good tools. They don't have to be Bergeon for example you can buy cheaper screwdrivers but replace the tips with Bergeon tips. The extra hardness makes a huge difference.

There are a ton of classes on YT and online in general now. I did the Time Zone watch school years ago and can recommend it as good value for money.

Yeah-I was kind of winging it at my home office desk with AliX tools.

Gracias for the advice. I’ll try it again.

Keeping this thread alive - Root Beer today. Lots of wrist time lately. Happy Memorial Day weekend, and a sincere thanks and note of remembrance for all of those who have given their lives in the service of this country. It is a debt that can never be repaid, only remembered with reverence.

Nice.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a WMT Bond 6538 to scratch that vintage itch:
