What percentage of the population can comfortably afford 50-70k trucks?

The problem is that people that can’t afford them have been buying the last 3 years

Probably so. If we have even a mild recession anytime soon, they'll be stacked up on used car lots like when gas was around $5/gallon in 2008.

They're going to have to do a whole hell of a lot more than 7.5%.

No shite huh??

7.5% on a $55K truck is only $4,125 off

What a joke

Yawn.
If dealers and Ford were serious they would slash MSRPs and offer 0% financing. Borrowing is too expensive and people feel these trucks are overpriced.

Those people are stuck with them, they can't afford to trade up anymore.

The people that can afford then are keeping the 5 year old or least vehicle they have because they aren't paying those prices. The used car market should be feeling it right now.

This is me. Mine is 7 years old, and I'll drive it another 7 at this point.

Inflated prices and crazy high interest rates are running people off. 7.99% on a 75k truck, even at 84 months, is a big ol note.

A deal on an overpricd truck is not a deal.

The only way to offer low interest rates is to buy down the interest which just gets rolled into the price. The only way to do what you're proposing is if the fed tanks interest rates again.

And milkshakes should still only cost $1 and the picture show should only cost .50.

But I agree in general, trucks are stupid expensive and eventually the dealers are going to get screwed. And they deserve it.

Holy shite. That's current inventory of only the F-250? Not F-series in general?

If this is the EV 250, they will never sell them. Who was thinking this was a great idea?
