Because they spent over a year screaming that Desantis had *clearly* been bought out by the establishment and is now GOPe because of the people funding his campaign. Now DJT comes to Desantis to ask for his hookup on those SAME "establishment" people to send funds his way.
They don't want anyone to make the connection that proves how shallow and reactionary they actually are. Desantis campaign taking funds from these people was proof to them that he'd been corrupted, but now that DJT wants those same funders they'll have to bend in pretzel logic to justify it - somehow while still maintaining that Desantis is GOPe but not Trump.
Remember, the way Desantis was funded was their entire argument as to why he's now part of the establishment. Their entire house of cards came falling down. Of course they'll react emotionally and lash out
