I would not be surprised if we see more attrition in the upcoming weeks. CJJ stayed with the same guys and got the same result which is insane. Ruddell had a good fall and spring this year and couldn’t see the field. Immediately redshirting Mitchell and not giving him a chance to play is mind boggling. Noticed they have him as a left handed batter only and not both. CJJ will never know if these kids are good if they don’t play. Kling is who he is after these two seasons. Brown got an opportunity and hasn’t cut it. Pearson is going to be .250 hitter as he has been the past three season. Larsen has been a plus. Might not be best suited as an outfielder but he has a good bat. You don’t recruit guys not to develop nor play them.

I mean you can’t just decide which players to redshirt during the middle of the season.

Ruddell did not have a good fall and spring at all. He flashed some power every now and then but he had one of the lowest BA and had one of the highest K rates. Y’all think just cause they not playing they will magically be better than the guys out there because yall haven’t seen it. These coaches see them everyday.

No he didn’t

Number of starts

LEFT FIELD:
Mac Bingham 30
Josh Pearson 14
Ashton Larson 4
Ethan Frey 2

CENTER FIELD:
Paxton Kling 35
Mac Bingham 10
Jake Brown 5

RIGHT FIELD:
Ashton Larson 18
Josh Pearson 16
Jake Brown 8
Brady Neal 6
Paxton Kling 1
Ethan Frey 1

Overall:

Bingham 40
Kling 36
Pearson 30
Larson 22
Brown 13
Neal 6
Frey 3

He tried a million different lineups all year. That’s been one big thing he’s been criticized by this board. Bingham has had more starts than anyone and he’s been riding the bench now for a couple of weeks. He was the only constant for the majority of the season in the outfield. No one else has more than 36 starts

The outfield has largely been a revolving door. And our batting order changes almost daily
