I did it. I wrote a fairly sarcastic email to him asking him to please continue this move forward to protect the children by banning alcohol and tobacco products. My suggestion was that we could offset the loss in “sin” taxes by having state legislators agree to pay cuts and shortening the sessions by only allowing low effort, redlines of pre existing bills (like this one).

No shocker here with his obvious hard work ethic, he sent back one sentence

They should do this with alcohol too. Vice taxes are 100% re-allocated to school system. Having better schools is the long term strategy for improving the state.

Geez, I thought the Bible Belt conservatives in both parties had realized by now that sin taxes are fckg bs!

Why do you think it is that you're aware of a news article about kids in California being hospitalized after eating THC gummies, yet I imagine you haven't personally seen a single article about kids this year in California being hospitalized, or even dying, of alcohol poisoning?

Or all the jabbed teens dropping dead of heart attacks. Like they GAF about kids. Selectively… only if it furthers their agenda.

The same politicians who smoked weed in their twenties now think they are some morally superior protector of the kids

The Dr, prescription, 1000% mark up imposed by the elite who monopolized it.

This isn’t hard.

Interesting in it looks like the family in Shreveport who controls the drug including narcotics distribution warehouse is giving piles of cash to Pressly, almost all are max individual donors.

Intersting they were under investigation by the DEA for over distribution of dangerous narcotics.

But this is good cash for Pressly.

Also of note, a bill in the process removes LSU and Southern from being able to grow the medical weed and gives it to...... Boysie Bollinger, one of Jeff's biggest donors

He also got cash from Lilly, Merck, Pfizer.

He's raking it in from thel drug lobby. Here take this legal Heroin for your pain, and go drink some grain alcohol. Those are safe.

Just wait until the bill passes that give Landry the sole authority to appoint the members of the ethics board! I'm sure that will all go well

Well look how convenient. This BRPD sponsored article warning of "THC overdose" appears the day of the debate and the day before the passage vote. If that's not enough for a laugh, allegedly 53% of these cases involved 2 and 3 year olds.

Lobby dollars at work here. WAFB ought to be embarrassed.

Doesn’t the State of Louisiana have anything better to do? If they’re going to pull shite like this, it would be better if the Legislature met less frequently. Like every fifty years. You’d still have 5 cent pay phones and an 18 year old drinking age.
