I did my first update at Cabela’s in Gonzales. Said it would take 20 minutes so I hit yes and went in and shopped. Came back out and it was pouring down rain so I jumped in my car and had 20 minutes left
I learned quickly to never updated manually and have that shite update at night.

Just to be clear, she wasn't locked in... At any moment she could've used the manual door release, the same as every other vehicle in existence...

Please stop minimizing her experience with your toxic masculinity

You mean... she could have.... OPENED THE DOOR?
I'll be she was a blonde.

A blonde was desperate for money...
so she decided to go to the richer neighborhoods around town and look for odd jobs.
At the first house, a man answered the door and told her. 'Yeah, I have a job for you. Could you paint the porch?'
'Sure,' smiled the blonde, 'I'll do it for $100.'
'Great,' the man replied. 'You'll find the paint and stuff you need in the garage.'
The man went back into the house to his wife, who'd been listening. 'A hundred bucks! Does she know it goes all the way around the house?' asked the wife.
'Well, she must. She was standing right on it!' he said.
About 45 minutes later, the blonde knocked on the door. 'I'm all done,' she reported.
The man was amazed. You painted the whole porch?'
'Yeah,' the blonde said. 'I even had some left, so I put on two coats!'
The man reached into his wallet to pay her.
'And by the way,' said the blonde, 'that's not a Porsche. It's a Ferrari.'

1) you have to basically double opt in to start the update via the app and it makes you confirm the car won’t be usable while it’s updating (which is why everyone schedules it overnight)
2) you can cancel the update mid update at any time from your phone and it tells you that when you start the update
3) you can open the doors without power with the handle that may damage the window seal if done too much
these stories and headlines are part of why our society is so fricked up, we turn legitimate retards into victims

Social media has changed society…for the worse.
Invention of the smart phone was amazing in the early days. Access to information anytime, anywhere. Access to the internet was the product.
Now humans are the product.

Sir, did you not know that everyone on this board is a Tesla expert and has hundreds of hours of experience driving these? I kid...so many hot takes can be disproved by those with experience here.

Now that there is a chink in the Tesla armor, China may take the opportunity to hack into Teslas and kill people.

I pay money every month so I can sit in a 180degree box for 30 min
Why is she complaining?

Janel documented her ordeal in a TikTok video, which has since garnered nearly 30 million views.
Dumbass does something stupid and gets 30 million views on tiktok. Even if update only took the 24 minutes she estimated it would have been too hot in the car before update finished.
She also wasn’t trapped. She chose not to use manual door release.
It’s been said multiple times, but there is a reason China doesn’t allow their own product to be used by Chinese citizens.

Tesla offers manual door releases for situations with depleted power, but Janel opted to wait, fearing potential damage to her car.
This is the type of person that will not drive through the gate on the railroad crossing, while sitting on the tracks, only to get drilled by the train doing 60mph.

I wonder if she knows that people sleep in parked cars every day and somehow don't "run out of air"?
