Italy's first test were fouled up. They were barely above 10% positive. Everyone was lining up as well because it was free.

Yes. The numbers in the chart are the total deaths since day 1. They are not the total deaths per day.

No

It's the opposite. It's the total deaths per day. Italy is up to over 6K dead.

Interesting.
I didn't know that.
Appreciate the info.

It's nice having informative back and forth.

At the end it will be really interesting to see how this all this went down.

Italy's healthcare system will probably be partly to blame as well. Without the politics part of socialized blah blah blah, they were admitting far more and taxing their system far quicker.

Very little socially was done by the time their hospitals were overrun.

I found an article with a chart similar to what you created.

Vox

If we use the Vox method then Lousiana has 1000 less cases and half the deaths at the same time frame as Italy.

How is that supposed to go over when trying to induce fear with arbitrary data?

If however, we used the OPs method and compare the US to Italy, there is zero correlation of any curves or data. Italy is just super duper fricked.

I wish there was some place, like Seattle, where we could draw some comparisons.

Neither chart compares apple to apples but look, they correlate!

The hell with it. Burn this place down when you’re done.

Someone already mentioned it but you have to take into consideration pop density when doing these numbers. Orleans has twice the density as Lombardy and is tracking behind their ground zero.

wouldn’t you think more infected people would walk out of the 4,000 square foot room with 1,500 people?

Assuming no singular focal point of infection like a contaminated punch bowl handle (because of you trying to connect this to a country), no

People keep bringing it up but it’s a statement borne from people thinking it’s the flu.

There is zero evidence as of yet that higher temperatures reduce infectivity by a significant degree.

I hate seeing louisiana just getting racked up. I still say "our" when referring to things there.

I'm worried about hospitals there. Things were already screwed up with medical centers there. I have all my family there.
