Just go away, you bring no value to this board. All you do is bitch and moan. No insight, no orginal thoughts just a whiney arse mentality. The season is 4 months away and you are defeated already, talking about holding our coach, who has two 10 wins seasons in his 1st two years, accountable.

Ed O and Miles won one in year 3.
And both of them took over very talented rosters. Kelly inherited a roster with less than 40 scholarship players.

If you want to argue LSU should have taken steps to avoid putting themselves in an adverse situation, I’m with you. But throwing good money after bad isn’t the way to fix

This is really the only argument to make. I get them not overpaying for williams.

Problem is Kelly should've had this problem with dt fixed by now.

Should've overpaid a tad to get some kids out of high school and the previous portal period. I never understood why they didn't grab more players out the prior portal.

And you can say Kelly didn't know who would go in the draft bur you need to get dts even if those guys would've stayed. They both had injury problems.

This entire situation could've been handled better. And people on here hate when you point that out.

you’ve said you’re holding him accountable dumbass. Our AD isn’t going to do anything to BK after two ten win seasons. Especially after the shitshow orgeron left

Why would you bring facts into this thread?

NOTHING for another 5 seasons even if he tanks it to 6 -6 for the next 5 years. LSU does NOT have $70 Million for a buy out after this season. Accept it and move on. There is NO accountability for many seasons to come. NONE.

One of the better posts in this thread!
I always go to look at a persons previous posts, then you get a little more insight to their “Whiney arse Mentality.”

Some you look at when they register on the site, this too helps in an evaluation.

Remember this, at times, ignorance has its followers. Most times, it’s the same ones.

Yeah as in I’m done making excuses for Kelly. Two years ago it was the roster he inherited which was warranted. Last year it was Matt House even though he was the guy who hired House. We wasted a national championship level offense last year.

People are still making excuses despite it being year 3 and Kelly himself saying we’d be competing for titles in year 3. Kelly has done an incredible job but if we regress and go 8-4 or 7-5 then our great 2025 class could easily be picked apart. 4-5 losses is a real possibility UNLESS we fix the DT situation. You can bury your head in the sand and not acknowledge that all you want

Wasn’t a problem from a talent standpoint compared to other positions

You need to get banned but you probably would just come back as another character name from a fantasy franchise. Maybe Legolas next time?

Do you think maybe they came into a better situation?

Definitely but there was no transfer portals in their eras.

Transfers have changed, one change being a way to easily identify who is attempting to transfer (the portal) but it isn't new and the portal existed during the time O was at LSU (starting in 2018). The inter-conference transfer rules for the SEC and immediate eligibility is also newer but did exist before O's last season.

LSU Got better in 2018 & 2019 because of a transfer.

The portal is a two way street, as well.

Their teams got progressively better over those three years too

LSU was better in the last two seasons than when Kelly took over and that isn't even close to debatable.

Miles is undervalued as a coach here because he played the bumbling hayseed so well and because of 1-9-2012. But here are his first 3 seasons which seem more like holding serve than getting progressively better.

2005 11–2 (7–1) T–1st (Western)
2006 11–2 (6–2) T–2nd (Western)
2007 12–2 (6–2) 1st (Western)

Here is Kelly

2022 10–4 (6–2) T–1st (Western)
2023 10–3 (6-2) T-2nd (Western)

Guess we'll have to see how this season goes

And he fired the defensive staff and went out and got the best and you’re bleeding everywhere months before the season even starts. Shut the frick up and let it play out

Hold him at his word?? wtf do you think this is? They have to go out and compete and earn that. You sound like a petulant child stomping his feet because he’s not getting his way. This is a whole new thing now. It’s not the same college football anymore. Deal with reality. It’s not all bad. We are freaking out over one position. We do have things to be excited about. We do have things to be worried about. Like every other team. Every other team does not have the top player at 3 skill positions committed. It’s not all bad

Period. Not what a coach or fan base thinks you are worth. Why is a small apartment in NYC so expensive and that same place in BR cheap? Market. Until we are willing to come to grips with that and pay what the market dictates we will not get players

Only on the front side. Once the games start you learn whether or not the market value at the time equaled the product on the field as well as the impact on the remainder of the roster.

some SECR posters say that both went to OM/Bama for less than the 1.5.

Either way, are we down to Go5 transfers?

A glass of water is worth a lot more to someone dying of thirst than someone who has their own well.

Circumstances greatly define what something is worth to individuals… or in this case schools.
