He had a rocky start but reached down and balled for the next 4 innings. Was huge

Said it in the thread but will say again how mature he is
Never let himself get rattled, kept his focus & got himself out of jams

He did do a good job working out of trouble. Very impressed with his composure.

Absolutely.

We don't win today IMO if Holman didn't fight through it.

0-3 top of first, then handoff the game 3-3 4 innings later. So much

That was the ballgame IMO. Bases loaded, nobody out and he strikes out the next 3 guys and they weren’t just any guys.

Yeah, seemed like everyone they sent to the plate was hitting close to .300 or better

You’ve got to remember. Yeskie was coaching against those guys everyday last year. He has the blueprint.

This pitching staff has executed it to damn near perfection the last two days.

Really think the rain delay effected his start

Not just overcoming the first, which was huge. But after we tied it, he got in trouble and balled out that inning too. Big time clutch.

Honestly the pitching came around ~3-4 weekends ago (@Tenner). The difference to me has been the timely hitting. Let's keep that going

The delay and facing #1 had him too amped up…velocity, movement, LOCATION. Everyone gets enamored with the first 2, but location is just as important. Once he settled down ( the ump missed 2 strikes in the first inning alone) and got his location under control he was great. Little has finally got his under control. His stuff was never an issue. Now get Hurd under control and this team is dangerous.

. That right there to me was the most impressive part of the game- and i agree, the key to the game.

Bro the rant had at least 7 threads saying how bad he was. Not to mention calling him an ace when he in fact is our Saturday guy now
