Small world...A relative of mine was principal there for many years prior to the mid-60s.

Didn't know any of th ER principals past Phillips White. His predecessor was Earl Aiken.
I graduated from THS and left town to finish undergrad and graduate degrees. Had just moved back when that happened. Really didn't think Timber Trails was ever really the same after that.

My mom was good friends with Connie Smith. Her mom was my second grade teacher and all time favorite teacher I’ve ever had. She was so gentle, kind, and I used to ask my mom to do my hair in a “miss America” bun-a French twist-Like she wore everyday. My mom told me about Connie after I was in her class. Looking back, I don’t know how she managed to go on and be such a wonderful teacher and mentor after her one and only girl was murdered in such a way. Don’t know how anyone could go on.

He is still locked up at Angola. Will die in prison. Life sentence with no benefit of parole. He would have to get a pardon which ain’t happening.
