The water company should put the meter on the edge of your property.
That's what I hoped for. The response was clear - "we will put a meter at the road. The end."

Baton Rouge.
Property has a well that produces poor quality water, and at my age I really don't want to be in the water treatment business.
I'm calling some boring companies later this week, will see how bad the hit will be....

Posted by Unobtanium on 5/14/24 at 7:57 pm
Just found out from Baton Rouge Water Co. that their nearest line is ~900 feet away, and that is where they will install their meter. The line from the meter to my property will be my responsibility.
Any idea on what running a line (1-1/2" to 2") this far will cost? Trenching isn't likely an opti...

Two Semi-related Q's - Snapperizer & Billy Goat Vacuum
Posted by Unobtanium on 3/3/24 at 7:25 pm
Q1 - does anyone other than Snapper/Briggs make a removable mesh screen to help chop up leaves? I have one on my old Snapper mower but its days are numbered.
Q2 - Do the Billy Goat lawn vacuums have a chopping/mulching function, or are they strictly a vacuum?
TIA ...
