Just like the players have an opinion on not wearing something they don't support? And that makes it a story on the biggest media company in sports?

You can have your opinion but come on, you can do better. Have yourself a good week

At no point in this thread have I objected to the players, at all. I just don't see ESPN running an article on it as a big damned deal. Difference of opinion on the subject, I suppose.

What’s your beef with Christians?

Just curious, I know some Catholics who have particular problems with the church, etc.

Don't have one. I would have the same reaction to any other majority, religious or otherwise, crying persecution every time someone says not nice things about them. I just happen to live in the United States, so Christians are the only ones who can fit in that box, at least from a religious perspective. If I lived in India, I'd probably be pissing off Hindus on some message board

What they claim to be, and what they actually believe are completely different unfortunately.

But you do not actually believe what you say. Christians are indeed persecuted. In Canada it is punishable to teach certain aspects of the Bible due to it being offensive to some. During the lockdowns, churches were banned from assembly but casinos were ok?

If I was worried about my uv/dv count, I would avoid anything political on the OT, ever

Though somewhat surprisingly, I generally get a decent reception on drug legalization threads. Maybe when all the libertarians left the PT, we all settled here without realizing it

Worrying about upvotes =\= being okay with xiv agreeing with you

That’s like equating a paper cut with a decapitation

Arguing that Christians were being persecuted because politicians decided that a tax revenue engine like a casino could stay open while a PAYS ZERO TAXES church was shut down is a glorious way to end the evening.

You think you’re so smart but really you’re just a dick riding democrat that’s too stupid to acknowledge the political power and privileges gays and minorities get in this country

So just reporting things is discrimination now? Was there some subliminal anti-Christian message in that article that I missed? Should I go back and pull the first letter of every sentence or something?

If there were any players of Muslim faith that refused, do you honestly think that they'd be treated the same or mentioned by name? Hell, the media did far more to cover and push the "Chick Fil A hates gays" false narrative than they did to mention Omar Mateen killing 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando. Days later, when CFA volunteers showed up to give free food and drinks to emergency personnel and blood donors, some media and many of the perpetually offended on Twitter accused them of trying to take advantage of a tragedy to score brownie points. BTW, the aforementioned Disney owned ESPN article used the occasion to once again push false narratives regarding Florida's banning of certain content being taught in classes from per K - 3rd grade. Yeah, nothing in the way of bias and agendas in media.

If you're trolling, well played. If you honestly believe what you're typing, I can only wonder how young you were when momma dropped you on your head.

But when we put it on our bodies, I think a lot of guys decided that it's just a lifestyle that maybe -- not that they look down on anybody or think differently -- it's just that maybe we don't want to encourage it if we believe in Jesus, who's encouraged us to live a lifestyle that would abstain from that behavior.

"... It's not judgmental. It's not looking down. It's just what we believe the lifestyle he's encouraged us to live, for our good, not to withhold. But again, we love these men and women, we care about them, and we want them to feel safe and welcome here."

Sexual immorality is covered in Leviticus 18. Among thing like incest and having sex with animals we find the following:
Leviticus 18:22
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

Jesus speaking:
Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

They want you to bend the knee. They don’t care if you support it or not, what’s important is that you bend the knee.

What they hate most is those that say…

They hate free men. Because free men can’t be ruled. A free man isn’t bound, isn’t obligated. He gives his sword where he chooses and isn’t forced.

And they detest that

Kaep before he started kneeling?

Idk why Kaep keeps getting brought up unless people are being purposefully disingenuous. Kaep never got signed again bc he sucks at football and would be a side show not worth the distraction he would bring. It wasn’t bc of any of his social opinions

Same deal when ppl claimed Tebow wasn’t being signed bc he is a Christian. No, it was bc he wasn’t very good and that combined with the media attention and distraction that would come with him made him not worth it

You think the government cares about tax revenue? lol They print money like it’s nothing. You are truly an idiot if you believe that.
And yes, Christians are being persecuted. It’s amazing how much that offends you, but oh well.
Also, you failed to acknowledge the other aspect of my post.

Free Men

There are those who wish to own,
Before them all they see,
And all they need to claim it,
Is Free Men to bend the knee.

They use the fear to press us here,
And make the masses cower,
Their rules for thee, but not for me,
Come from their ivory tower,

In inches come their edicts,
Like the acorns from a tree,
They swear they’ll stop it there,
If only we will bend the knee.

And some folk will believe them,
They’ll take them at their word,
But time and time it’s proved again,
That trusting them’s absurd,

And those that balk are labeled,
Troublemakers, bigots, boors,
They want you to disarm,
Behind the scenes, they prep for war,

And we see those that trust them,
Crack beneath their tyranny,
The boot upon your neck won’t lift,
For those who bend the knee,

So give the mob no quarter,
Give the rabble not an inch,
Let them hem and haw and threaten,
But beneath their blows don’t flinch,

For the silent see your struggle,
And although the woke will rage,
Soon they’ll find and easy target,
Who will kneel, then turns the page,

And the ones who don’t surrender,
To their side the silent swell,
For a battle is a brewing,
And the brave will give Them hell,

So when they ask for surrender,
And the feckless fools doth flee,
Stand your ground and give no quarter,
For free men, don’t bend the knee
