Lakefront Airport station recorded an astounding .09 inches of rain yesterday, first rain of August.
About 1.5 inches in June, same in July - split out over a few days each month.
Average for June-July-August is 5.5" each month.

Sunday morning, today might make the 1st time this summer we have gone 48 hours without rain here in Vermont. The last time I had to water my garden was early June. Looking forward to the autumn leaves this year, with all the rain we have had the colors ought to be outstanding.

No traceable rain here in Central Virginia in August. Was gorgeous this weekend, sunny and 83 on Sat...humidity is low. Was 55 when I got up on Sunday out here in the country. Per the chart they say we'll get some later this week, but it will only be a trace.
Look, I know ya'll have been suffering down there. But up here this has been the mildest, driest summer I can remember. Not doing much for the beans, but I'll take it.
As mentioned before, all weather is localized.

Last Monday.
Rain is back in the forecast for Sunday evening into Monday and all of next week, so that'll be two weeks w/o rain, which is the longest we've gone all summer here in West Central GA.w/o any precip

Yesterday morning in N.O. in the Mid-City area for a grand total of about 5 minutes and it was done. Back to clear skies and hot as hell today.

I just moved to Nashville and this is my first summer outside of LA or TX. I'm not used to getting cool fronts in August.

Correct. Was actually visiting friends in Kingwood on 7/8. It rained there and had rained in Katy when we got back. Not a drop since.
