If this is the worse thing your wife does, you've got it made. How young are you?

I talk to my pet all the time & my pet kangaroo said you're an as....couldn't make out the rest.

I talk to my dogs as does my wife.

He usually grunts, howls or screams back, most of the time just gives me the standard GS WTF are you talking about head tilt.

He's gotta know when he's a good baw.

Does yelling at my dog after he tore his kennel apart at 2am, sounding like someone was breaking into the house?

Because I really talked to him then.

What kind of psycho doesn't talk to their dog, in their dog's voice?

You talk to your dog and he wags his tale just because he’s getting attention. He has no idea what the hell you’re saying.

While the dog clearly can't understand English, or speak words, they can be attentive, and react to certain pitches and words that they have been conditioned to understand.

I do it with our pets. And also, there are plenty way more important things to be irked about than something so trivial. Good grief.

My dog is literally my best friend. I just showed him this thread. He'll take her off your hands if you don't want her.

My wife does it all the time with the cat she got from our sister-in-law 2 years ago. It's a male, neutered and living inside but does go out a few times a day to explore the yard.

She'll try to get him to come inside and go out on the 2nd story back porch and call him like she's having a conversation-------which he normally ignores. She'll come and get me to get the cat in and all I do is call his name once, clap my hands a couple times and he comes running inside.

I guess like most guys, he's not into long conversations.

About 5 years ago I made the decision to quit trying to run my wife out of things to complain about. I just started doing what I wanted to do and if she wanted to join me she could.

Three weeks later we got a dog and she's been yelling at that poor bastard ever since.

I talk to my dogs all the time, in encouraging voice. They are listening, and they respond, in their own way.

There is a difference between talking to your pets (I think most people do) and making up voices and talking back to yourself as the pet. Yeah, that's strange.
