The crappy music basically ruins the game experience for me. Let the band play. Otherwise just have the nice atmosphere of a football stadium. That music is unbearable.

I might catch hate for this, but how in the blue blazes of hell are they still playing “I’m from Luhweeziana” before kickoffs? I hate that shite.

That song and the speakers are hot garbage. Just let the band play.

As a guy that's had season tickets for 20+ year, every time I go to a game I am less inclined to go back. Why are the traffic lights on Nicholson actually cycling?! We're trying to get 80-100k people out of the same 10 city blocks but let's have a red light by Aster turn Red so the 3 cars that parked there can wedge into traffic.

ETA: Honestly, the difference between LSU and other games has less to do with the university and more to do with just the overall shittyness of the City Of Baton Rouge and it's leaders.

Name a top SEC school where fans can leave at the end competitive SEC game and be home in 30mins??

He didn't say home in 30 minutes, he said off campus and on the way home in 30 minutes.

We parked in 404 (old Alex Box lot). Stayed until clock hit 0:00 and casually walked to car. Took about 15 min to get completely out of the lot and another 15 min or so to get down Nicholson to the Bluebonnet intersection. So about 40 total minutes to the house. I was fine with that. Listened to postgame the whole way and relaxed.

They let you stay on Nicholson? My son had to turn on Burbank but for the Grambling game they let him continue down Nicholson.

Yes. When you exit 404 you come out on Nicholson, of course, but you can then turn left onto Burbank if you want. Which is what I should have done. Burbank flys. Nicholson is pretty slow until you clear Lee/Brightside intersection then it picks up.

Drove over that bridge coming and going to SF this morning. Me and the other four cars I saw thought it was quite pleasant.

They have killed tailgating, tvs are much better than the uppers, and the games are too expensive and take too long to play.

I did not go to this game but usually go to every home game. I park near Parker Ag Colusseum. parking is free, 20 min walk from stadium, 10 min I am on the Interstate going either direction. Doesnt matter if I leave a few min early or stay until after the final seconds. I am usually home in Zachary in my recliner 50 min after the game ends.

West side always left early, end of third no matter who was playing. Money people have less real football fans.

When I was in my teens, during the 1980’s, it was a special treat to have an LSU home game on television. Back then, WJBO was the radio station to listen to and chill at your home. Now every game is televised so there is no need to fight the elements and the traffic. Large televisions with great picture and sound in your living room is all you need. Make your own hamburgers, popcorn, and whiskey from your recliner. No waits for the bathroom. I really don’t care to ever travel to TS. It was a childhood blast when I was 11 years old but not now.

Tiger Stadium will always be Tiger Stadium. An LSU night game is always to me an experience unlike any other.

It's 2023. Less people are going to games all together.

1. High ticket prices
2. Have to pay for parking that’s not miles away
3. Every game worth a shite is on tv.
4. Can watch on a gigantic hdtv
5. sweat like shite after the long walk, while sitting in a seat where you have a hard time making out players numbers without binoculars.
6. Leave when the game ends to sit in traffic for 2 hours.
And people wonder why there is less attendance in 2023.

Inconsistent program - up and down so can’t catch momentum for fan excitement Poor state - we don’t have as many potential customers to pay the sticker price Loser mentality - LSU fans/Louisiana people are much more activated by being an underdog than a favorite.
this to be one of the dumbest post. I’ve read on this board in a while. Yes, I agree with the poor state. All the rest of it is complete bullshite and I highly doubt you were even an LSU fan if that’s the way you fricking think.

The volume of the speakers depends entirely on where you sit in the stadium and which way the wind is blowing. I have season tickets in 207 and you can barely hear the music most times. It's a little bit louder halfway up the east side. The one time I sat in the expansion club seats, the speakers blew my fricking ear drums out. The sound seems to be very directional. And as they have for the past decade or so, the band does seem to be pretty quiet.

Overall, the gameday atmosphere has been watered down gradually since the late 2000's, maybe through 2012. It's been death by a thousand cuts. Now it seems like Tiger Stadium a lot of us grew up in shows up once, maybe twice a year. The fans are partly to blame as well.

Also, I hope a lot of you are voicing these opinions in the game-day atmosphere survey they're sending us each week.

Sent mine.

I hope they read them. I always wonder about how valuable a survey really is. But maybe with enough complaint about fan experience, they will make some changes.
