Bullets
Missiles
Bombs

I know Raytheon is a player, but who makes the actual bullets and bombs?

Doing research on what stocks did well during WWII. Weapons manufacturers thrived. I want to start my positions now.

Ask your senators and Congressmen. They probably already bought the stock.

Defense stocks went up the minute the market opened after the Hamas attacks.

Aren’t a lot of these non traded companies as well since they’re contractors?

Lake City provides almost all of the 5.56 to the military and about 30% to the civilian market. …but they are owned by the government and operated by Olin Winchester.

Winchester makes ammo and manages the Lake City plant. Texas Instruments (yes, the calculator people) makes computers and guidance systems for bombs. Raytheon, Northrop-Grumman, Lockheed-Martin all make missiles and bombs in their own plants.

In WW2, your more prosperous companies were like DuPont, Ford, Remington, GM, Standard Oil, Dow, Coca-Cola, American Brass Company

Stupp Corp., pipe manufacturer in Baton Rouge, takes raw steel and makes bomb casings for the Navy then sends them to Dallas area for fitting.

I think the Caldwell or Jena area in northern La. Manufactures a lot of smaller explosive munitions.

Late last year, the Defense Department identified 27 critical chemicals that have no U.S. production and are sourced from places, including Russia and China, considered adversaries of the U.S. The Pentagon expects to spend more than $207 million to bring production of materials back to the U.S. as soon as possible, WSJ concludes.

Winchester has the contract for much of the small arms. They run the Lake City Arsenal along with 3 others.
